The owners of this property knew what they wanted. This house works, an easy open layout, spacious rooms and a generous outdoor living area, a requirement of any ‘True Blue’ Aussie beachside house.

This domestic dwelling was an interesting and challenging project for Kalbaru.  Prior to Kalbaru’s involvement, the house had been architecturally designed to be constructed out of suspended concrete slabs with tilt panel concrete walls on piles.  Upon further investigation by the piling engineer it was apparent that this was not the best construction outcome for [...]

Constructed in 2010 this was the second time Kalbaru has worked with this client to build a new dwelling. This house brings together raw external finishes with a minimalist interior. 3metre high ceilings, commercial double glazed windows, black Japan stained timber floors and many more surprises.

Working with the owner Kalbaru managed this project through the design, planning and construction phases and completed the build in November 2010. The design took in all the natural featues of the site.  Wormy Chestnut timber floors throughout, double glazed commercial windows and skyglass balustrade all help make this a easy home to live in.

This domestic dwelling was constructed in 2010/2011.  After completion of the project in River Road for this particular client, Kalbaru was appointed to design and construct this dwelling to ensure views and privacy were protected from the adjoining properties at No 16 and No 20 Yandanah Road.  This house was completed in April 2011.
